Every month this year we will be bringing you the "Best Chicago Pizza Recipes" with recipes submitted by our readers to www.homeruninnrecipes.com.  If you have a recipe idea please feel free to submit your own and you too can be featured.

Just take a look at what one of our creative pizza lovers, Mary Stolpa, of Greenfield, WI created from a Home Run Inns classic cheese pizza using seafood!

Craving something special for dinner but missing that gourmet touch? Bring the pizzeria to your house with a Home Run Inn frozen pizza instead of going out. Using your own creative touch for pizza is fun for the whole family! It’s totally flexible, incredibly inexpensive, and very delicious.

Ingredients:

1 tspn horseradish
8 oz whipped cream cheese
1 1/2 cup cooked and peeled shrimp (medium size)
1 tspn minced parsley
1 cup fresh crabmeat (crab sticks can also be used)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Directions:

Mix together the horseradish and cream cheese. Then dollop mix by teaspoonfuls randomly on the pizza. Add shrimp, crabmeat and minced parsley, distributing evenly across pizza. Sprinkle parmesan over all ingredients. Bake at 425° for 18 minutes or until crust golden brown.

What else can we say about this creative idea? The cheese adds such a great flavor to the pizza and compliments the seafood beautifully! The variety of seafood you can use for this pizza is up to you. You can sprinkle dried basil over the top with the parmesan cheese or dip your pizza in cocktail sauce. Once again let your “inner gourmet” run wild with your favorite Home Run Inn Pizza!

Thanks again to Mary Stolpa in Greenfield, WI for this delicious seafood recipe.

We know the holiday season can put a strain on budgets with Christmas gifts, parties, and other holiday festivities. Below are some ideas on how to make your dollars stretch farther as well as tips on how you can keep enjoying Chicago’s best pizza on a budget as well.

Make a list and check it twice. Avoid overspending and impulse buying by creating a list before you leave the house, and make a vow to stick to it, whether it’s at the grocery store or holiday gift shopping.

Be sure to go through the newspaper before you hit the shops. Chances are you’ll find coupons to the stores you were planning to visit for the items you put on your list above. If you don’t get the paper or can’t find a coupon in the paper for the store you want, go online. Many retailers provide coupons on their website that you can print and use in store.  If you join the Home Run Inn Frozen MVP Club you will receive special offers and promotions as well as a chance to win a Free Pizza Value pack valued at $59.99 that includes 3 Twelve Inch, 2 Ultra Thin, and 8 Six Inch Home Run Inn Frozen Pizzas!

Hungry for dinner and savings? Bring the pizzeria to your house with a frozen pizza instead of going out. Save even more when you buy your favorite Chicago frozen pizzas by Home Run Inn in bulk at the grocery store.

Looking to grab a meal while you’re out holiday shopping? Find your local Home Run Inn pizzeria on our website for specials on your favorite Chicago pizza. Take advantage of our Chicago Pizza Feast on Wednesdays or our Friday lunch buffet featuring - you guessed it - Chicago’s best pizza.

Look for more tips coming soon!

Sincerely,

Home Run Inn Pizza

Just wanted to wish all of our friends and loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving and remind everyone that Mom is working very hard today and tomorrow (and probably has been working all this week in preparation )

An Interesting fact about the day before Thanksgiving is that it is one of the busiest pizza ordering days of the year.  It is only surpassed by the Superbowl Sunday and Halloween.  So give us a call today and give Mom a break from cooking as she gets ready for tomorrow's big meal.
