Home Run Inn began in 1923 as a small tavern on Chicago’s South Side. Founded by Mary and Vincent Grittani, the tavern received its name when a baseball from the neighborhood park smashed through one of the windows. It wasn’t until their son-in-law, Nick Perrino, returned from World War II in 1947 that Nick and Mary crafted their iconic Chicago pizza recipe.
Today, we are still carrying on the same family tradition, same natural ingredients, same authentic Chicago pizza. With 9 pizzerias around Chicagoland, Home Run Inn is considered Chicago’s very own. The traditional, all-natural pizza is recognized for its irresistible flavor, featuring a hand-pinched buttery crust, tasty sauce, plentiful cheese and homemade sausage.
In hopes of better serving our loyal customers, we began preparing frozen pizzas in our own unique way. All our ingredients are prepared from scratch daily and then par-baked giving you the highest quality pizza with the freshest flavor possible.
