A Local Legend: From Neighborhood Tavern to the Best Pizza in Chicago.
Italian immigrants Mary and Vincent Grittani opened “Little Village Tavern” in 1923 in the heart of the South Side of Chicago. Alongside their daughter, Loretta, and son-in-law, Nick Perrino, the tavern, today known as Home Run Inn, grew from a local neighborhood bar to a string of full-fledged pizzerias – most famous for its thin-crust, Chicago-style pizza.
Today Home Run Inn Pizza is proud to serve our customers at our nine Chicagoland restaurants – using our original hand-pinched, buttery-thin crust and world-famous pizza recipe that have made us a Chicago institution for over 70 years.
From baking our dough fresh every day to crafting our homemade Italian sausage, our commitment has been, and always will be, to using all-natural ingredients and the highest quality products.
