Preheat the oven to 450˚F and arrange the oven racks toward the center.
Remove pizza from all packaging
Prepare ranch dressing. Whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning until smooth.
- Note: if the dressing is too thick, add water 1 tablespoon at a time to reach desired consistency
Preheat a large pot with oil to 375˚F. In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, water, Italian seasoning, sea salt, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
Pat dry the pickle chips and dip them in the batter until evenly coated.
Carefully drop the battered pickles into the hot oil one at a time, and cook for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a plate lined with paper towel. Repeat with the remaining pickles, monitoring the temperature of the oil as you go.
Arrange the fried pickles evenly over the pizza. Place pizza in the oven directly on the oven rack and bake for 17-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Note: if you find that your fried pickles are browning too quickly, carefully remove them from the pizza, and set aside. Add the fried pickles back to your pizza with 1-2 minutes remaining.
Once the pizza is cooked, remove from the oven, and drizzle with ranch dressing. Cut into squares and enjoy!
